Jake Dodge
A message from our Worship Pastor, Jake Dodge:
“I’m just a man that made his heart God’s home.” The reason why I love this saying is because it’s simple and yet so profound. When people invite Jesus into their lives, big things happen. It doesn’t mean that they are perfect, don’t make mistakes, or are never weak. It just means they have God now and they are better for it.
A little bit about me. Hmm… let’s see… I’ve never written a bio for myself before. Let’s dive into some deep theology! I have a beautiful fiancée named Kim. She is the kindest person I have ever met, and even though she is taller than Daneal (Pastor Dan's wife), she’s REALLY short. My two favorite sports are baseball and football and I like the Mets and the Jets; suffice it to say I’ve seen a good amount of heartbreak in this arena of my life. I also enjoy a rousing game of Call of Duty and I like nerdy things like Star Wars.
I’ve been leading worship for over 12 years now. I have served in youth groups, Sunday services, special concerts, and Bible studies. I also graduated with a diploma in Pastoral Ministry from RHEMA Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Spending time with God empowers us to live the kinds of lives He created us to live. When he designed us, He designed us to love, to inspire, and be together as a church. He designed us with the capability to live brave lives for Him.
Let me tell you it is truly an honor to serve in the capacity that I do. Helping people learn about Jesus is one of the greatest joys of my life. Spending time with Him and providing an environment that allows people to hear His voice is what I hope to accomplish in my life and here at Arise Community Church.
